Canadian Forest Owners advocates on our members’ behalf, consulting with government on national issues so that our collective voice informs policy makers about key issues that affect our members’ operations. At any one time there are a variety of active federal and provincial programs and legal and policy initiatives that may affect private forest landowners and stakeholders.
Canadian Forest Owners provides a platform for all members to share knowledge on research, environmental policy, stewardship and land value enhancement that benefit private forest resources.
Members receive support and can draw on the experience and knowledge of CFO directors, staff and membership when dealing with national and federal issues concerning legislation, policies and regulations.
Canadian Forest Owners is a proud member of the International Family Forestry Alliance (IFFA). The IFFA is the voice of family forestry worldwide. Its objective is to promote the development of family forestry and advocate supportive policies, making recommendations to international forest policy processes while providing a forum for exchange of experience, ideas and information.
